Where are we based?  
 

The cortijo is located on the south facing foothills of Granada ’s Sierra Nevada , in a peaceful valley of orange and olive groves. The last ten minutes of the drive here in on a rough track high above the Guadalfeo river, in the same valley as described in Chris Stewart’s book “Driving over Lemons”.

  In spite of its remote, tranquil location, Cortijo Cañaveral is only a 20-minute drive from the local town of Orgiva , with its bustling Thursday market, numerous banks, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The city of Granada , with its famous Alhambra , and the beaches of the Costa Tropical on the south coast, are both at less than an hour from Orgiva by car.
